The Classification of Precision Filter

The classification of precision filter elements is mainly based on their filtration accuracy, usually in microns (μm), which is used to describe the minimum particle size that the filter element can intercept. The following are common classifications of precision filter elements and their application scenarios:
1. Coarse filtration (>50μm)
Filtration accuracy: 50μm or more.
Application scenarios: Mainly used to remove large particles such as dust, pollen, etc., to protect downstream equipment from damage.
2. Medium efficiency filtration (1-50μm)
Filtration accuracy: 1-50μm.
Application scenarios: Suitable for filtering medium particles such as bacteria, smoke, etc., commonly used in general industrial fluid processing.
3. Fine filtration (0.5-5μm)
Filtration accuracy: 0.5-5μm.
Application scenarios: Used in situations where high fluid purity is required, such as liquid filtration in the pharmaceutical industry, pre-filtration of ultrapure water preparation in the electronics industry, etc., which can effectively remove bacteria, colloids and other impurities.
4. Ultrafiltration (0.01-0.5μm)
Filtration accuracy: 0.01-0.5μm.
Application scenarios: used to remove tiny particles, bacteria and some viruses, commonly used in high-end water treatment and biomedicine.
5. Nanofiltration and reverse osmosis (<0.01μm)
Filtration accuracy: 0.001-0.01μm (nanofiltration), below 0.0001μm (reverse osmosis).
Application scenarios: used for molecular-level filtration, such as seawater desalination, pure water preparation, etc., and can remove divalent ions, small molecular organic matter, etc. in water.
6. Ultra-high efficiency filtration (0.1-0.3μm)
Filtration accuracy: 0.1-0.3μm.
Application scenarios: mainly used to filter extremely small particles, such as nano-sized particles, chemical pollutants, etc.
7. Precision filter element (0.5-10μm)
Filtration accuracy: 0.5μm, 1μm, 5μm, 10μm, etc.
Application scenario: Select different accuracy according to the application to ensure the water output accuracy and the safety of the subsequent membrane elements.
